Subject: KX-T: Panasonic is a good company BUT...

Ok, here we are in the next millennium and we are still selling Panasonic
phone systems with technology from the dark-age! Panasonic should have a
Networked-Telephony solution on the market by now. And I mean in the USA not
in Europe or Japan.

The KXTDA series seems to be the Panasonic solution for Networked telephones
(aka All-in-one pbx's) and has been sold in Europe for over a year now. But
in the USA, we are stuck with the archaic dinosaur called the KXT.

Just look at Panasonic's competitors (3com, Avaya, Intertel just to name a
few) and they all have a solution that will upgrade any Key-System to a
full-fledged networked solution that will integrate with existing 10/100bt
networks, plus offer VOIP, CTI, TAPI, call center apps, and remote admin via
web-based TCP-IP GUI. And how about being able to plug-in your phone at
almost any Internet (10bt) connection, and have your phone answer and FWD to
VMAIL as if you were in the same building! Or how about running a Software
application on your PC using a Headset (plugged into the soundcard) and
being able to accept calls without the cost and maintenance of another
phone!?

To this date, I cannot get a definite answer from the West-Coast Sales Rep
(won't say her name) as to when they will be releasing the KXTDA here in the
states. I have clients loyal to the Panasonic name and design who want to
upgrade there systems, but how do you sell a system based on a few new
upgrades when the customer expects to get a lot more!

I am not trying to push anyone system here today, 3com, Avaya, Cisco,
Intertel, are all good companies along with Panasonic. I only wish that
Panasonic come and join the new millennium and give us dealers something to
compete with, while selling new systems and upgrading old.

I welcome comments to this topic and will forward them to the Panasonic rep.

Thank You,

SloopJohnB
