And what did you do to help yourself?  You post 1/2 of a problem to the
kxthelp group and expect us to solve your problem because Ablecom won't
help you?

1.  Does line 1 light up when you ring it?
2.  Did you remove the VM from the system and try it?
3.  When you get tone on the line, can you pick up a phone and select line 1?

When you figure out the the VM is probably at fault, take a close look at
fax detect and its related programming.
