I posted a previous version of this and nobody replied with an answer. I
would appreciate more feedback if you know ANYHTING about this problem.
Here's the scenario:


-       client complained that VM had crashed
-       I had them power cycle, and things were fine
-       The next week, same thing, and no recovery through power cycling
-       Connected w/ HyperTerm, and got message on boot that no system was found.
-       Sent into Panasonic, and they replaced HDD.
-       Re-Installed, connected, and same message.
-       Called Panasonic, and in a condescending voice, the tech asked, "Didn't
you turn the rotary switch to 5?"
-       Went back, turned rotary to 5, booted up, and same thing.


If anyone has gone through this, I would apprecite any info you may be able
to lend. I don't know if this is something I should be worried about fixing,
or if I should box it up and send it back to Panasonic.
