> O.K. I'm done, fire away all :-)

I think you're bullet-proof, Carl.

Back when the analog 308/616/1232 competed with the D308/816/1232
product line, our business was probably 99% digital.

Now that we have the A624 and A1232, it's probably 80% digital.

Some people must have digis for size or T1 or another specific feature,
but _most_ of the people who buy the digis, do it for emotional reasons:
because the phones are sexier, they can program and backup via PC, and
digi is newer technology.

Some people who would have preferred digital, have bought analog for
more door phones, higher modem speed, and CID on Call Waiting.

Some people buy digital because they just want to spend more money, or
want to "beat" their neighbors. Like buying a bigger boat or a pedigreed
pup instead of a wonderful mutt.

We had a customer who insisted on wiring a single-family house with
Teflon-insulated wire. He was convinced that if it was more expensive
than PVC insulation, it had to be better.

A dead analog wristwatch is right twice a day, but a working digital
wristwatch may never be right.
