Hi David, I am looking at a 60kw electric motor, weighs about 15kg 22 lbs A 1835 VW weighs about 160 lbs, so take 22 off that makes about 130 lbs you can use for batteries & controller I have used the Vruzend kit to assemble the batteries, they say you can get 10 -20 amp from each battery, good luck & lets know how you get on Robin NZ
