Dr. F Hsu,
Steff,

It actually sounds like Stef is doing fine on solving this issue of nose
heavy controls. Moving a battery is certainly not an easy solution.

I have a ground adjustable but otherwise "fixed" trim tab on my elevator. I
set it up during Phase I testing to provide for hands off flight with just
myself abord. When I have a passenger, I use a bunge cord (same as his
spring concept) to push the nose further down to relieve the control
pressure needed for the heavier load. It works fairly well.

Best option would be for a fully in-flight adjustable system, I see a lot of
Ray Allen servo systems out there. But they do cost some money. Fixed trim
tab and springs is much cheaper.

Thanks,

Hi Stef,

I am new in this KR world and I take every opportunity to read and learn
from this family! However, I am just a bit curious about your solution for
the "nose down" issue? Why would you want to install a fixed trimtab,
instead of trying to resolve the problem through checking your "weight &
balance" status, and possibly make some easy changes, such as moving your
battery a few inches forward or backward...?

Kindly and stay safe & healthy!
