I'm running a Sterba 52x52 prop with a 2180cc engine using Revmaster
heads, and the performance is a solid 150 mph TAS wide open at 10,000',
turning about 3250 rpm. N891JF is a pretty slick airplane though,
although a bit on the heavy side. Having said that, all Sterba props
are not created the equal, and trying somebody else's prop (with known
good performance data) on your plane would be a good indicator of where
the problem is.
Also, are the wheels faired, all three? If not, they will likely add
about 15 mph to your speed.
