Stef,

I don't know of any KRs that use a parking brake, so you may not get an answer
here. Most of us just hold the brakes with our feet during run up.

On other planes with in line hydraulic lock type parking brakes, they can be an
issue with both bleeding off pressure, and sticking, although generally
speaking once the valve is open, it shouldn't retain any pressure. Other
possible issues can be an air lock in the brake reservoir if there is a venting
issue since the fluid has to expand as it heats up. I have also seen the
brakes hydraulically lock as they heated up when serviced with ATF (Automatic
Transmission Fluid) rather than 5606 Hydraulic fluid. In that instance I
drained the ATF out of the system and serviced with 5606 hydraulic to fix the
problem. So the type of fluid in use is also important to proper function of
the master cylinders.
