Aluminum brake lines down there do make a lot of sense, and might have
better bend radii to do a loop or something...worth a try.  One of those
lines has a pretty severe angle on it where it enters the fitting. 
That'll teach you to post photos!

I will say that I have something like 4000 landings between my KR2S and
KR2, both with Nylaflow lines, and I haven't had a problem.  I often do
6-10 touch and goes at a time, but I'm sure they cool off between
landings.
