I wouldn't fret over not being able to use the AS5048 airfoil.....the
main reason to do that is to get more fuel in the wings, but you can put
an insane amount of fuel in any KR wing, especially if you use both
outer wing and stub wing for fuel tanks....probably more fuel than you
could ever need. The AS5046 is just fine, with no compromise in
performance.
I just reread http://www.krnet.org/as504x/ for the first time in
years, and it will almost certainly answer any question a builder would
need to have answered. By all reports, it's a better airfoil than the
RAF48. The templates are available in a link near the bottom. When you
get to the links page, there are other links to his res links. I had
somebody tell me a few months ago that they found the airfoil templates
too low resolution to build from, but apparently they had tried to blow
up the images at the top of http://www.krnet.org/as504x/templates.html ,
rather than download the full resolution images! I know Wegmet knows
better....this is for others who might not be paying attention. I drew
up the templates, so I should know! Kinkos or other print shops can
print them for a fee....
