I am still working with a project KR2S that was originally set up with
the spars for
the RAF 48 airfoil and would rather not add the weight of laminating extra
material to the spar top and bottoms to use the 5048 airfoil

If I were at that stage I think I would trade a couple of pounds of spar
weight for an additional 10MPH. Cheap buy I'm thinking, especially if
you're going Corvair or 0-200. It shouldn't be more than the weight of
two RV wheel pants with fittings that got me 12+ mph.
