I just finished painting the insides of the tanks I rebuilt for my SuperCub Clone using the slosh compound from KBS coatings. I like it, but can't attest to it's longevity or for that matter, how well it deals with the contaminents found in modern fuels, although it is advertised to stand up to alcohol fuels, etc.
I sloshed the tanks in my KR with the Bill Hirsch slosh/sealer sold by Aircraft Spruce. After 22 years, and more than 1200 hours, it seems to still be in good condition. I have never seen any flaking or peeling from the tanks as many people had warned me would happen within 5 - 10 years.
The visible difference between these two compounds is that the Hirsch slosh compound is white in color and seems almost rubbery. The KBS coating is silver/gray and cures to a shiny hard surface. Both do a good job of encapsolating everything they touch. I think either compound will work well. You can see a couple of pictures of the finish with the KBS coating about 3/4 down the page at <http://jeffsplanes.com/Cub/MOGAS/mogas.html>
I'm still a couple of days away from fillling the tanks on the Cub to see how well they are sealed.

Subject: KR> Tank Sloshing
Hi All,
I’m looking for tank sloshing recommendations (product, procedure, tips).
There was mention of a sealant product a few months ago and I thought it would be easy to find it in the archives, but no.
Cheers,
Owen
