Those that have attended the many KR Gatherings at Mt.Vernon airport know well the airport manager , Chris Collins. I received my quarterly State of Illinois aviation newsletter and it contained the news that Chris was nominated for and will be inducted in to the Illinois Aviation Hall of Fame on May 24 of this year. A much deserved recognition for a outstanding airport manager.
I don't have the e-mail for Chris but the airport web page has a form for messages. Congratulatory e-mails could also be sent to the Mt.Vernon mayor, John Lewis, at " mayorle...@mtvernon.com " congratulating Chris on the award. Make sure to include your city and state to show the reach of influence held by the Mt.Vernon airport. It would help Chris for the city leaders to know the extent of his efforts at the airport.
