The static RPM is 3150 on my Great Plains 2180 VW rated at 76 hp with an Ed
Sterba 52 x 52 prop, Compufire electronic ignition with mechanical spark
advance (32 degree max), Zenith carb and four-pipe straight Dragon Fly
exhaust.. Cruise fuel consumption is 3.7 gal per hr. Total time on this
engine is 12.6 hours.

The one thing I noticed from your data , if I'm reading it right, is
that, with the technology we are running, the rule of thumb of 1/2 pound
of fuel per horsepower per hour holds true.
My 0-200 at 60% power = 60 hp / 2 = 30 / 6 = 5 gph .? This seems to hold
true on 0-320's , 0-540's, etc.? I'm guessing it holds true for VW's and
Corvairs also.
