The static RPM is 3150 on my Great Plains 2180 VW rated at 76 hp with an Ed Sterba 52 x 52 prop, Compufire electronic ignition with mechanical spark advance (32 degree max), Zenith carb and four-pipe straight Dragon Fly exhaust..  Cruise fuel consumption is 3.7 gal per hr. Rule of thumb would indicate you are pulling 44 hp at that fuel burn or 60% power setting. (3.7x2x6=44hp)  (44 / 76 = .58 {assuming 76 hp is correct} ).  Anything less then 76 hp max rating means you are running at a higher percent of power.  If you have a fuel flow meter you could go max power and see what the burn per hour is and get a close estimate of the hp output (fbph x 2 x 6=hp).  Example:  If I run my 0-200 wide open (2750 rpm) and get 100 hp my fuel burn would run right at 8.3 gph, very close to the book numbers.  (8.3 x 2 x 6= 99.6 hp)
