Hi Noel; I live in Winnipeg so am not that far from Regina. I have a few KR projects and have had a look at your pics. I was one of the guys who said to check it again and I will say that based on the pics and as Mark said there are a few concerns that are more evident in these pics. I guess the main point is that if you want an S then yes start over. Some have cut and stretched a regular Kr but that seems a bit too much to me. I have quite a few Kr parts on hand so we should talk. Many can be adapted to work on an S model. I have bought some yellow cedar with the idea of eventually building an S too. I was just at my first Kr Gathering and was so fortunate to get a flight in a Kr2S with Robert Pesak. It is an amazing airplane. I did not get up in a regular Kr so I can't make a real comparison as to handling but I know there were and are lots of guys with a regular Kr who are quite happy. That said ,if I was starting from scratch.. it would be a 2S with several modifications as seen at the gathering and on the KrNet. Feel free to give me a call 204-885-2443 .
