There are 2 who are using type 4 VW's with PSRU's, 1 is air cooled, and
the other is a wasserboxer with a turbo. Both are heavily modified and
are quite sophisticated. I don't recall their names at the moment but
if you do a search on KR2 and Australia you should get some hits. I
seem to recall that there were a couple of KR2's is SA as well. 1
individual had switched to gliders and was assembling glider kits as a
business, and posted in an internet based aviation forum that was also
connected to SA. I used to read the forums as best I could, not knowing
the language.
Hopefully, this will give you some leads to go on.
