If you are willing to purchase a small amount of plywood you could run the 
spars through a planing machine and plane the plywood shear webs off of one 
side of the main carry thru down to the spar caps. Once it's inspected to see 
if the spreaders are there, then put the new plywood on that side.
It seems to me that you will rip some of the spar cap material out trying to 
pry the plywood shear Webb off. Planing would just remove the plywood leaving a 
smooth surface to apply the plywood.
