While building, I heard or read from what I considered a reliable 
source that the rudder should have three hinges, not two as per 
plans.   Three on elevator is adequate.  Using a thinner nylon / 
plastic replaceable bushing on the plans type aluminum hinges would 
require removing less of the hinge metal.

I checked my memory at the airport the other day and confirmed that 
Cessna uses 1/4" steel threaded rod (may be rolled threads, not cut) 
with rod end bearings for aileron actuation.  More than adequate for the KR.
