Does anyone have any info on the possibility of using ?Tyvec? as an aircraft
covering, doped and/or otherwise? If you?re wondering what we?re talkin?
about, go to your local snail-mail HQ [U.S.Post Office] and pick-up several of
their freeby larger envelopes. Voila! ?Tyvec? in-hand. Tough! Light. Still
conducting multiple tests as to flammability, sunlight degradation,
compatibility with various doping agents, etc.

Likewise. Sorta back-to-basics: use of bamboo for aircraft structures?
Super-strong and super-light! I know bamboo was used in the earliest days of
aviation, especially in the areas of the world where there was more of the reed
available than there was metal available. Unfortunately, there were very few
specs written down at the time ? particularly as to criteria/testing of the
stuff. Anyone got any leads and/or suggestions?
