I have been flying with a Zenith carb (1821,I believe) for 250 hours and am pleased with it on my
Great Plains 2180 VW (on my KR2S) It does have in flight mixture control which I have connected up with a speedometer cable to a mixture knob in the cockpit. I have flown up to 6500 ft with it and no issues once you get the mixture orifice size correct by trial and error. Chris Gardiner KR2S.
