There was doubt about the Corvair? I'm getting ready the introductions and "class photo" at 10:00AM, and I lose an hour due to the time change. 500 miles in three hours (with a headwind the whole way), and still 8 gallons of fuel left to dodge rain showers if necessary. I just got back from England tonight, where yesterday I finally realized a dream of seeing Ken Atkinson's gorgeously built KR2S in person. Here's an appetizer, a photo of Dave Mullin, Willie Wilson, and Ken Atkinson, all KR builders and pilots. See http://www.krnet.org/krs/katkinson/110602-081m.jpg for one of yesterday's photos, and http://www.krnet.org/krs/katkinson/ for an overview of some of the innovative features of Ken's KR (as discussed by Willie a few years ago). I'll try to update it with newer photos and more details in the next few days or weeks. It was a great "gathering" of four KR builders and pilots on a gorgeous English spring day. Although the KR was the reason for the gathering, it's really the great people that keep us coming back together. Thanks for another great KR experience, Willie...
