That makes sense. Thanks for the answer. My KR was built to plans only as regard to laying out the sides for the boat. (Wider, different wing, canopy, landing gear, tail section, .............)

Ken Rand (KR) was certainly our inspiration nd in many cases our aeronautical education...and if I credit him by alling my plane a KR, it is a mere homage. Aside from the first KR I did in he seventies, all of the subsequent work since has been from that education ND from anothers' air foil, canopy, fuslege lenght, landing gear, engine nd on and on. While I appreciate what the original KR was and still is, I o recognize that there is much that was borrowed from the past by Ken imself....and we are in part borrowing from him. You do not have to have a "registered" set of plans to build and license so-called KR.
