        Thank you for your advice. I guess I'm a tinkerer like probably
anyone who sets off to build ...well...anything. And yeah your right it
looks like the original design produced a fine airframe. Why change it?

Why not just use the "KR cloth" from Wick's?  It has to be less 
expensive than CF and is plenty strong for the job as evidenced by 
the many KR's flying, like mine with 400+ hours.  It doesn't need to 
be made any stronger and won't be a great deal heavier than using 
CF.  No point in trying to re-invent the wheel.
