First, my wings were a little short to start with. I never added the outer foot of composite spar to the ends of the wood spars, so my wings were each a foot shorter than the plans. The extensions (which get me up to slightly longer than standard KR2S length) improved climb rate, glide rate, more nose-down attitude at high altitude, and even gave me an extra mph or two in speed, but that must be attributed to reduced drag from the "real" Hoerner wing tips.
