I think if I were attacking the problem, I'd go with the system you 
found that cools the cylinders and then work on the oil temp 
problem.  Some type of oil cooler(s) with blast tubes for forced 
air.  Maybe a scoop on the side of the cowl with a hose directly to a 
bonnet on the oil cooler.  It could be closed when not needed.  That, 
with fins on the oil cooler as one post suggested, might fix the 
problem.  Remember, the cowl outlet opening is as important as the 
inlet.  I think Langford had a recent post with maybe a link to his 
web page on the mechanics of checking cooling air differential.
