Hi Guys, I sent the set bet emails to our KR guys here that are not all on the net, Here is a reply from Allen Buzzer in Western Australia.
I will send the photo's to Mark L, Mark J and Dan health, hoping you can see them from their web page sometime. Hi Phil, Looking at the photos of Gene Byrd's kr2s crash brought back memories of my crash 3 yrs before. I fortunately fitted my shoulder harness via cables to the tail wheel attach point, which in part, saved me from serious injury. The other, I was sitting on 100mm thick styrene foam as my seat base and back rest, with 25mm thick cushion. My bodyweight at 60kg still managed to compress the seat foam by a third of its original thickness. My injury resulted in a compression of my spine and fractured vertebra. As you know, I rebuilt the aircraft and returned it back to the air in 2004 and still have the same type of foam seating. The attached are 2 photos of the crash.
