I've never been a big fan of that shoulder belt design. Other than the fact that it doesn't appear to be strong enough (and Bob's experience would support that), ------------------------------------------------- I too like Mark did not like the RR set up, neither did my aircraft engineer. So We mounted them to the shelf, a plate underneath, and a much shorter cable than Marks to the next fuse cross brace, and drilled and plated close to the longerons.
The ONLY reason for this was we noticed that many Timber aircraft photo's, seem to show the large possibility of the fuse braking in the middle, thus the cables can go in a different direction to the belts.
