I used Mr Mimms design way back......a steel square transverse tube behind the seat back welded to brackets bolted to oak doublers glued to the top stringers.
The harness attachments were welded to the tube. This design survived 2 unplanned landings and never budged.........thank you Mike Mimms!! I'm sure it's in the archives somewhere.
