My first CFI was a gifted pilot and a crotch rocket fiend. He was 23 years old
when he missed a curve and hit a telephone pole. His ashes were scattered from
an airplane. In a plane death is always present, but often a mile or more away.
On a motorcycle, death is always about 3 feet away. In a plane, you are your
own worst enemy. On a motorcycle, any mistake by a stranger can kill you. ( I
was once boxed in by four cars at 80mph on a freeway- scary) My bike, a vintage
BMW sits pickled and unused, while I romance my plane on a regular basis. No
real comparison.

Halleluiah and A--AMEN Motorcycles are like mules they can hurt you when you
are doing everything right and enjoy it. An airplane won't hurt you unless
you make it. It's OK to like motorcycles but you have to love airplanes. I'm
gaining on the KR2. Larry

If your bike is more fun than your plane, you obviously aren't flying a KR!

Motorcycles are more fun than airplanes but if you busted your ass on a
motorcycle you want to stay away from airplanes, an airplane accident would
maybe kill you.
