Sometimes you need to be creative with links... in this case the 'brilliant' browser that I use assumed that the second line tag "tSep09.pdf" was not part of the link, so when I 'clicked' on the link and it gave me the typical '404' error message, I just went back to the original e-mail and copied the offending non-included part and pasted it to the "failed" link and lo and behold, the turkey worked.
Don't rely on your computer to be perfect... they are like airplanes; sophisticated but simple... GIGO.
