Don't worry, you're in the company of about 300 others who don't know how to delete excess messages either. Here's how. Start at the point you want to delete and press the left mouse button down, and while holding the button down, slide the mouse down and to the right until you arrive at the bottom of the message (or wherever you plan to stop, and then release the button). The text should all be blue or "highlighted" in some way. Now, without touching anything else, find the key on the keyboard that says DELETE on it, and press it. The highlighted text will be deleted. It's just that simple. To "cut and paste", you use the same process to highlight the text you want to "cut" or "copy", and either click the box at the top of your email window that says "Cut" (which will both copy it and delete it) or "copy", which will only copy it to a virtual clipboard. Then move the mouse cursor to where you'd like to "paste" the text and press the "paste" button....and the text will appear there. The "control" keys are a shortcut to copy, paste, cust, or delete. The control key is marked "CTRL" and on the bottom row (there are usually two of them, for your convenience). If you press and hold the Ctrl key along with the X key you'll cut or delete highlighted text. If you hold the Ctrl key and press C, you'll copy. The V key will paste. Now that we all know how to do it, lets prove how knowledgeable we are and do it from now on... Mark Langford, Huntsville, AL mail: N56ML "at" hiwaay.net website: www.N56ML.com
