Hi Nick,
I'm only slightly ahead of you. I recieved the plans a couple of weeks
ago. I already had some longeron material I was going to use for a VP
project, but figured if I was going to go to the trouble of building
something, I might as well build something big enough for my wife and I both
to fit in. I bought 4 sheets 4'x8' of 3/32, to go with mahogany or birch is
a personal decision, and a 4x4 sheet of 1/4" birch for the firewall. The
canopy from Todds is somewhere between here and Florida, the landing gear is
also on the way from Diehls. I bought 2 quarts of T-88 thinking that would
hold me for awhile. I'm anxious to get the boat built and on the gear. I had
a printing company print out the templates for the A5048/45 airfoil. I
thought they were kind of spendy at $120 for the print. I got the 4' by 16'
table up day before yesterday. I did all this pretty much without looking at
the plans. To go with Wicks or A.S.S. co is a personal decision. I'm not
much of a kit kind of guys, so I prefer to buy the stuff as I need it. I'm
not in a big hurry for the WAFs yet, as just getting the boat built is my
first priority. I wish you the best of luck, and a good build.
 Russ Kendall
