Ive been running a aero carb for two years around a 100 hours on my 2180 VW . Its worked pretty good untill the other day.On short final went to add power and it locked up at idle. Thank god I was high and made the runway ok. This problem only showed up when the engine is running. Something to do with suction maybe. Took it apart and did the mods aero suggests. Added Delrin gasket and chamfer the slide. Aero has reported some sticking problems with high-suction engines. All working ok now but it was a hair razing experance. Makes me want to get a Ellison carb Bob Clark Ankeny Iowa
