I tightened up the friction lock so it requires a bit of force to move the
throttle and that seems to have stopped the carb from sucking the slide,
closed. I think that we may want to add a light WOT spring, just in case.
Today, I adjusted the needle, I am using #2 right now, 1 turn to the rich
side, and it idles very well and will run well at WOT, but still stumbles
badly in between.

Joe has advised me to use #3 needle, so I probably won't mess with this one
for long. Monet says that most installations use the #2, but what do they
know. I think one of those air/fuel ratio gauges would come in handy right
now. I can see myself chasing this thing for weeks.

I am open to any and all advise from those currently running an Aero Carb,
and especially those running one on a 2180 VW or like engine.
