If you "think" it's 50% done now, it's probably only 35% done, and even 50% will have no problem getting the repair certificate. >> 2. Because I dont know the status of the inside of the spars. That's something that's pretty hard to screw up. Lots of folks have trusted the work of others here, and nobody knows of a spar failure to date. That's got to make you feel better about it. >> 3. Can't help you with the front deck thing, other than it's easier to modify a cowling to fit a firewall, than to change a firewall to fit a cowling. >> 4. It's a pretty simple matter to "scab" on some carbon fiber extensions to your existing tail. Troy Petteway did exactly that, and they are strong enough to carry the plane around with. >> 7. There's nothing wrong with tri-gear, other than the weight and speed penalty. The tradeoff is easier ground handling during landings. There have been a whole lot of happy KR2 owners over the years. I see no reason why a KR2 with CG kept near the front end of the range wouldn't make most folks quite happy, especially if it means flying 2 years earlier. But don't let us change your mind if starting over would make you happy... Mark Langford, Harvest, AL see homebuilt airplane at http://www.N56ML.com email to N56ML "at" hiwaay.net
