Jeff,

All kind of stuff on heat muffs at http://krbuilder
org/FirewallForward/index.html

We used Jet Hot and with the system I am using as described above, I get
over a 100 RPM drop when I apply carb heat. I am expecting that cabin heat
will work just as well also. The pipes cool down very fast. We were running
some tests at WOT and after turning the engine off, within a minute or so,
the pipes were cool.

I saw some other posts about coating inside and out, and, that is exactly
what Jet Hot does. I don't think you can beat it.

I did not mask off any areas for heat muffs. If the pics and narratives on
the site do not answer your questions, just let me know.

When using a carb heat muff, do you need to mask off the area under the heat
muff so as to not allow the jet coating in this area.
