I dunno, but it's not for me to argue with the bright boys.  

It just seems that in rapid entry of a steep turn, one wing is trying to lift 
the airplane while the aileron on the same wing is trying to push it down, 
quickly.  This seems like a pretty good "shear" stress on the edge of that 
.016" aluminum skin hinge.

Bet your life it must be OK.
