I believe GP recommends 28 degrees BTDC. That will fire the mag 3 degrees BTDC which should not give you any starting problems.

If you have a mag with a built in lag of 25 degrees and you time it at 29 degrees BTDC is the impulse gonna fire it at 4 degrees BTDC when trying to start.....??? Right now I think that is our situation. If it is we will have to time the mag at 25 degrees so it will start easier..... No big deal, just a little loss in efficiency.... Whadda U think..........
