This is what Ellison wants you to think. If I had an engine larger than a VW
2180, such as a Corvair or a type IV, then I would agree with Ellison and
that statement. However, I strongly believe that the EFS-3 is too large for
the smaller engines. Ellison says to just limit the throttle slide opening,
I say that is crap. I have communicated with Ellison on many occasions and
each time, I blast them for discontinuing that carb. If you can get one and
are using a 2180 or smaller, get it. I love the carb and I think that
Ellison has done the light plane community a disservice by not producing
that carb anymore.



PS: Even though no one asked, I think that the 2 is too small for the larger
engines. Like you needed another opinion to add to your trash bin.
