Now for a shameless plug.... I am an insurance adjuster in MI, and I get 3 to 4 calls a week by people who think the insurance company is screwing them. Of the cases I have taken, 90% of the time, the insurance company was wrong in their appraisal of the damages and subsequently lost in either the appraisal process or arbitration (if they were stupid enough to go that far!). BE AWARE of what the policy states and covers. Getting what you are entitled during the loss is easy if you know your coverage and you are willing to stand up to them. It is unfortunate that some of us make a living from the misfortunes of others.
