The mechanical pump on my Corvair has no trouble sucking fuel up from the
wing tanks (in excess of 90 ltr per hour) and in doing so the fuel passes
through a Facet 40108 located at the selector. Any restriction to flow is of
no consequence. I use the latter only to prime/push fuel in an emergency and
have a second pump parallel to the mechanical for redundancy. Viz:
