The "TEST" button on the radio will break the squelch. For those faint signals or transmittions that are breaking up, just hold in the "test" button. Holding in the "test" button will allow you to hear the ATIS at the 20 mile range again. For those of you that are flying with an old 360 chanel radio and want to pick up the ASOS or AWOS transmitters, tune to the closest frequency and turn off the squelch. They come in just fine. Example: ASOS 119.125 - tune to 119.1 or .10 whatever it is. It always worked for me before I got the 720 chanel in the Tripacer. Larry Flesner
