On my last KR I drilled a 1/4" hole in the forward and aft spar webs for the
nylaflow tube. The rudder cable went through the tube and right under the
seat. I put lithium grease on the cable before putting it through the tube.
My plan was to keep checking the tube and replace it as soon as it looked
like the cable started to wear a groove in it where it bent under the seat.
After 45 hours there was no noticeable wear at all.

The cable ran right along the side of the fusalage and was out of the way
and looked good.

On the 2S I want the cable to run under the aft spar since it is raised
some. I might use a pulley on the back side of the forward spar and one
mounted off the aft spar or I might just use the nylaflow tube again. I
will have to look after I get the spars and rudder pedals in.

You didn't say how big the hole was going to be or what part of the
structure it is located in. All relevent for meaningful answer. The
front vertical stab spar has a hole drilled through the middle for
the elevator cable and nothing glued in the hole.

I'd need more info to even give you an uneducated answer.

I was thinking of running the rudder cables through the fusage 5/8 spruce in
the cockpit area to make it look better and be less seceptable to damage. A
hole big enough for the rudder cable and the nyflow tubing. After the seat
it could be attached on the outside. I'm going to skin the inside of the
fuselage.

Thanks
