I remember reading in a post a long time ago that mounting it from the front spar is fine, but mounting it from the rear spar has the added benefit of pitching the nose down a little to give you better visibility.
Keep in mind that this is what my feeble mind remembers seeing in a post from someone and I have no idea if it is right or not. I guess for basically the same reason you put the feathers on the back end of an arrow. And Mark, if you could mount you brake just forward of the rear spar and could place the motor under the seat it will help keep you C.G. forward. My motor is behind my seat and heavier than yours and I wish it wasn't either of those.
