My non-engineered, gut feel, is that I want my speed brake behind the center of lift and/or the C.G. I guess for basically the same reason you put the feathers on the back end of an arrow. And Mark, if you could mount you brake just forward of the rear spar and could place the motor under the seat it will help keep you C.G. forward. My motor is behind my seat and heavier than yours and I wish it wasn't either of those. Larry Flesner
