"Is there any problem with flying with the joint and attachment bolts exposed"
Morning Ken I have flown with my attach bolts exposed, without a problem. I did fill the wing gap so that their is no gap between them. To cover the attach fittings, I made a 4 small cover plates. The cover plates can be secured in several ways. Make a bracket to screw the covers onto. The bracket can float and when the covers are screwed tight, they will not move on the top and bottom of the wings. My rear attach fittings have never been completely covered.
