Well spoken Colin. Ideally it's attention to detail, any and all drag
reduction methods available and in my case at least a smooth little 13B
rotary under the cowl (180 horse around same weight as a Vair). Will keep
you posted as the project develops. Right now in the process of changing the
inboard wing root angle of attack. Got the AS 40XX wing plans back from the
printer's today and starting construction ASAP. Boat mods are well under way
and many of the fittings have been removed and sent off to be powder coated.
1" foam insulation between all longerons and floor to quiet things down a
bit plus add a little comfort for us boys not lucky enough to live down
south. Hardest part so far has been deciding which mods to go with and what
not. With the wealth of information here and in the digests a person could
quite easily make a career building and never live long enough to fly the
bird. As Dan says there is a time for building and a time for flying. Best
of luck with the inspection and regards to Bev for a speedy recovery.
