Netters,
Its official, N96TA is at SFB prepping for her airworthiness inspection as of
yesterday! Pictures will be posted soon to the webpage ala Dan Heath.
Question: The left brake caliper has developed a leak, and I need to
rebuild the seals. Is this difficult and where is the best place for supplies?
AS&S shows an exploded diagram with only 1 O-ring seal for the caliper piston.
If this is all there is to it, I will rebuild it myself. Secondly: How do you
fill back up with brake fluid? These were installed already so I am not
familiar with them. I am accustomed to brake systems which use a central
reservoir, not individual masters.
And for those that wonder, taxiing with a pneumatic (air filled ) rear
tailwheel is a dream! Mine is free castoring and is great going across all
those joints in the concrete. Makes things alot quieter.
Getting closer....
