dry and make a nice 45 Dec. finger fillet. That's the easy one.

I'm glad you were able to fix your leaks without cutting open the wing.
I was not so lucky but mine is now back in the air with 19.9 hours
on the meter.

After reading the above paragraph in your post my question is do
you have vents between each bay in your tanks along the top
edge?  If not air will become trapped as you fill the tank and you
would have large air bubbles in the tank instead of fuel.  If the 
bays are properly vented the bottom holes are all that's necessary.

I have two 1 1/2" semi-circle holes cut in the bottom of each baffle 
between each bay in my wing tanks with a 3/8" vent tube in the top
forward corner between each bay.  This setup seems to work fine
for me.  It allows the fuel to fill quickly and I've not noticed any
fuel slosh in flight, assuming I would feel or notice it.
